I had the same thing happen and mine was neg. An evaporation line develops when the urine on the test area begins to dry, leaving a faint, colorless line. I had the same deal with the blue tests and am now eight weeks along. Because I wasn't sure whether it was an actual line or just the indentation, I opened it. 11dpo - faint positive or evap? Confused. Things we plan to do differently next cycle:. What does this mean, was it an evap line or a true positive?. Then after my shower 15-20 min later, there was a VERY faint positive. This is what I got after 10 min. I took it as a possible positive so I went to follow-up with a FRER but BFN. I've broken open the casing and although it's so faint you'd miss it, there are pink dye stains around the edge (if that makes sense) so I'm definitely not making it up this time! My question; (sorry!) what do evap lines look like on first responses? And could I get a false positive on clomid/this early/wanting it so much?. Fingers crossed for you. Could that cause show more I peed on a FRER but it wasn't enough pee so the urine didn't activate the dye. Sometimes, what appears to be a positive line is actually an evaporation line. And a faint line absolutely does not mean false positive. Does anyone know the sensitivity rate of FRER and what is the clearblue digital tests? i took an FRER this morning with FMU and there was a very very faint positive. Took the Clearblue test and there was a faint line but wasn't sure if it was an evap or a line. Get diff tests. They gave me evap lines, I determined that because the lines I got were always faint and never got darker and it turned out I wasnt pregnant! Always a very faint line with hardly any color to it if any. I checked the test (first response) and it came back BFN. Took a test this evening after holding for 3 hours. It stayed faint for about 5 min and then disappeared. This evaporation line begins to show up once the urine has started to evaporate and reacts with the test strip. I had the same deal with the blue tests and am now eight weeks along. A faint Line should not be confused with an EVAP, (Evaporation Line) or an (Indent Line). Clearblue is first test, the 3 other tests after clearblue are equate, then the last is FRER. You may have to register before you can post: click the register link above to proceed. I wonder if they have evap. The wait is the hardest part especially when I'm having so many new symptoms I didn't even have back in April. So I caved, waited 3 hours and did the second. I checked again and 10 and it looked the same. I had a Tesco cheapy yesterday morning which was faint positive and frer last night which was a bit darker than the day before but not much. That doesn't mean in the next few days there wont be a pink line, you'll just have to try and be patient. As far as a positive story to go along. I know I was pregnant although it turned out to be chemical.
